This is the first Photographic Mandala Collection that Anneke Stewart created back in 2005. Since then Anneke has gone on to create over 400 Mandala images.
“The 12”: This work was a precursor to the concept that has inspired the tour de force behind my mastership. This work represents the 12 wise ones. There are seven units in each lightbox representing the seven chakras of the individual persons, who all face inward to reflect each other’s light. The imagery in the individual lightboxes are derived from open exposure photographs of lights to imitate what someone’s etheric energy system may look like in space.
Mandalas are present in many ancient religions; spiritual geometric configurations that aim to represent our relationship to the infinite. They draw the viewer in, creating an opportunity for contemplation. Anneke has adapted the kaleidoscopic nature of the Mandala seeking to provoke a translation of the essence of the given subject matter. Anneke believes art has the power to influence the energy of the viewer so with that in mind she aims to create artwork that has a positive presence.
These 420mm x 420mm prints can come unframed or framed, in white or black frames.
